About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Field Service Mechanic / Diesel Fitter to join our VIC team.

This role is primarily field based across Melbourne, with the workshop located in Ballarat for rebuilds, major works, and team support as required.

You’ll be working on a range of mobile plant and materials processing equipment, supporting both on-site customer work and occasional workshop-based tasks.

If you’re Melbourne-based and prefer being out in the field rather than tied to a workshop, this role offers strong autonomy and variety.

What You'll Be Doing

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing mobile plant and materials processing equipment

• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults

• Carrying out component rebuilds and major change-outs

• Completing pre-delivery inspections and commissioning recent machines

• Attending breakdowns and scheduled service work across Melbourne customer sites

What You'll Bring

• Trade qualification – Cert III Engineering (Mechanical), Diesel/Plant Mechanic, or equivalent

• Experience with heavy mobile plant,



crushing/screening equipment, or similar

• Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a workshop team

• Solid diagnostic and fault-finding ability

• 3–5+ years’ experience with mobile plant or related equipment
