Workfast are currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Fitter to join a well-established industrial operation in Townsville.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent Monday–Friday work, with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position.
About the Role You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and repair requirements across the site, ensuring equipment and facilities remain protected, operational and well maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
General site maintenance and repairs
Boilermaking and fitting duties
Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
Fabrication, repairs and modifications as required
Assisting with the general upkeep of the site
Supporting the Depot Coordinator with basic office/admin duties when required
Working safely and following site procedures
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Fitter or Mechanical Fitter
Dual trade qualification highly desirable
Previous industrial maintenance experience
Robust mechanical and fabrication skills
Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site
Positive communication and organisational skills
Basic computer/office administration experience
A strong commitment to safety
