Job Description

The Bennett Hotel is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This role suits an experienced chef who's confident running sections during busy service — particularly pans and grill — and comfortable moving across prep, larder, and other areas of the kitchen as needed. Working alongside our Head Chef and senior kitchen team, you'll join a well-established venue known for its solid team culture, quality food, and supportive working environment.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Running sections, including pans and grill, during service

/n
Working flexibly across prep, larder, and other sections as required

/n
Preparing and plating dishes to a high, consistent standard

/n
Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen brigade during service

/n
Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workstation

/n
Upholding food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards

/n
Contributing positively to team culture and the overall kitchen workplace

The Ideal Candidate

Has solid experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Is confident across multiple sections, particularly grill and pans

Performs well under pressure while maintaining consistency and composure

Takes pride in quality food, presentation, and clean execution

Holds full Australian working rights
