We are seeking a full-time Hotel Manager, 38 hours per week, to take complete operational control of the property. You will run every department — reception and reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, security and guest services — and hold responsibility for the hotel’s budget, purchasing and accounting functions. You will report to the owners and lead the on-site team.

Duties

•Organise and control the operations of the hotel across all departments

•Direct reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities

•Recruit, roster, train and supervise staff across all departments

•Prepare budgets, monitor costs, and oversee accounting and purchasing

•Manage rates, inventory and online distribution

•Supervise security arrangements and property maintenance

•Review guest satisfaction and handle escalated complaints

•Ensure compliance with WHS and other applicable regulations

Requirements

•Bachelor degree or higher (Australian or overseas equivalent) in hotel management, hospitality management, tourism including hospitality management subjects, or business administration





•At least 1 year of recent full-time hotel or motel management experience covering all operational departments

•Proven staff leadership, rostering and budgeting ability

•Property management and channel management system experience

•Strong written and spoken English

•A second language is highly regarded, given our international guest mix

Availability

This is a seven-day operation. The successful applicant must be available for both Saturday and Sunday as part of the standard roster, regular afternoon and evening shifts from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, and public holidays. Applicants who are not available for weekend and evening work will not be able to perform this role.

Advantages

•$80,000 – $85,000 per year plus superannuation, based on a full time 38-hour week
