As part of our collaborative team, you'll work across a diverse client base, assisting individuals and businesses with taxation, accounting and compliance services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Face to Face Individual Income Tax Returns
Assist in preparing income tax returns for sole traders, companies, trusts, and partnerships
Assist in preparing financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) under supervision
Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Enter and process client data using accounting and tax software
Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks and general ledger maintenance
Support senior staff with client correspondence and document collection
Assist with ASIC compliance tasks (e.g. annual statements, company detail updates)
Undertake ongoing study and training towards CA/CPA qualification




Perform other administrative and ad hoc duties as required
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys learning, values accuracy, and is committed to providing excellent client service.
Ideally, you'll have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (or final year of study)
Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting environment (internships/vacation work considered)
Eligible to enrol in, or currently undertaking, CA/CPA program
Basic understanding of Australian tax and accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB) highly regarded
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication skills and a professional, client-focused attitude
Prior experience in a public practice firm
Familiarity with Xero and Xero tax software
