The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for a Consultant Paediatrician to join a well-established regional service delivering comprehensive care across both hospital and community settings.
You will provide specialist paediatric care within a large multidisciplinary team, covering acute, emergency, inpatient and outpatient services, alongside community and outreach programs.
This role offers a well-rounded clinical scope with continuity of care across the region.
There is also the opportunity to contribute to outreach services, supporting surrounding communities and expanding clinical exposure beyond the base hospital.
The Facility
This regional hospital provides a broad range of acute services and maintains a strong paediatric workload.
Key features include:
Level 4 Obstetric service (from 34 weeks) with Level 3 Nursery
24-hour inpatient and emergency department services
Approximately 430 births annually




Around 650 general paediatric admissions per year
16,600 ED presentations annually, with approximately 25% paediatric cases
Dedicated community paediatrics clinics operating five days per week
Established outreach services across the region
The paediatric service is well regarded and plays a key role as a referral centre within the wider region.

The Requirements
Registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in general paediatrics at a senior level
Experience across both hospital and community-based practice
Robust skills in neonatal resuscitation and neonatology
