AsDirector, Infrastructure, you will lead the strategic and operational management of Arts Centre Melbourne's buildings, infrastructure and facilities.
As a member of the Leadership Team, you will oversee maintenance, engineering, capital works and security functions while driving long-term asset planning, safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
The role also plays a key role in the Reimagining Arts Centre Melbourne project, ensuring infrastructure and facilities considerations support the organisation's future direction.
Full-time ongoing position.
Band 6 $158,840 per annum plus superannuation.
Your Skills and Experience
*****+ years in infrastructure, facilities, engineering, assets or property
5–10+ years leading teams and budgets
Experience managing major capital works
Strong asset renewal and lifecycle planning experience
Experience managing building maintenance programs
Contractor and vendor management experience
Experience managing operational budgets
Solid safety, risk and compliance knowledge
Experience with security and emergency management
Strategic facilities and infrastructure leadership
Strong stakeholder and relationship management
Experience working with government or public-sector partners
Understanding of venue operations and asset requirements
Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills
Ability to lead organisational transformation
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
Experience with MS Office and MS Project
Understanding of CAD and building services
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
Asset management qualifications aligned to ISO ***** desirable
WHS, sustainability or ESG credentials desirable
Valid working rights in Australia
Satisfactory National Police Check required
