We are seeking aScience Teacher – Biology Specialistto join our Senior School team on a temporary full-time basis for the remainder of the **** school year.
With demonstrated expertise inBiologyand the ability to teachEarth and Environmental Scienceat the senior secondary level, this role calls for robust subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students in Science.
The successful applicant will deliver high-quality teaching, inspire and motivate students, and contribute positively to the wider School community.
The successful applicant will be collaborative, committed and keen to contribute to a positive and collegial Science Department.
They will share ideas, listen to others, take responsibility for their work and reflect on their practice, with a genuine commitment to the learning and development of students.
Availability to commence before20th September ****is highly desirable to support a smooth handover.

Salary in accordance with the Independent Schools CMEA
Key Responsibilities
Teach allocated Science classes, with a particular focus on Biology and Earth and Environmental Science
Plan, prepare, and implement engaging programs that meet curriculum requirements and cater to a range of student abilities and learning needs
Deliver high-quality practical and theoretical learning experiences
Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with the Science Department and contribute to curriculum planning and development
Contribute to school activities, including pastoral care, events, and meetings, as required
Maintain professional standards and uphold the School's policies and values
Requirements
NESA accreditation and relevant tertiary qualifications in Science, with a specialisation in Biology
Demonstrated experience teaching Biology at secondary level, including senior secondary Biology
Ability to teach Earth and Environmental Science
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements
Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Full Australian work rights
Ability to commence prior to 20 September **** is highly desirable
