An exciting opportunity exists at Zenith for an experienced Product Designer/Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Technical Support team based in Sandringham, Vic.
We are seeking a product design professional who thrives in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
This role plays a critical part in supporting sales teams and manufacturing teams with custom product design and technical design support when needed.
The position is a permanent full-time office role based at our Sandringham design and manufacturing facility.
Salary flexible, dependant on persons experience and skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Developing customer specials and product enhancements
Producing technical documentation and drawings for manufacture.
Development of new products (Conceptual idea generation, sketching and CAD)
Helping to produce and evaluate prototypes and customer mockups.
Support for the manufacturing, sales and customer service teams.
Help maintain and develop the CAD and drawing database
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or Product Design Engineering
Proficient in 3D CAD; Solid Edge or similar
Other related design software skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required
Ability to organise and prioritise
Initiative and self-motivation
Organisation and documentation
Ability to work and meet tight timelines
Model-making / prototype manufacture
Understanding of ERP/MRP Systems
Knowledge of current leading-edge commercial furniture products
Knowledge of drawing systems
Knowledge of relevant industry standards
