About the Role
This is a workshop-based role offering consistent hours and plenty of overtime and ongoing work for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate structural steel components from shop drawings
Operate overhead crane and hoists for lifting materials
Perform high-quality MIG welding
Assemble fabricated components to specification
Measure, mark out and prepare materials
Conduct quality inspections throughout fabrication
Operate workshop machinery and equipment safely
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines
Skills & Experience
Robust fabrication and MIG welding experience
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Experience working with structural steel or heavy fabrication
Excellent attention to detail
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Personal Requirements
Enjoy technical activities
Physically fit
Strength to handle materials, tools and machines
Good hand-eye coordination
Able to work in a team
Able to work independently
Accuracy
Safety conscious
Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in Structural Steel Fabrication.
