About the Opportunity
We're looking for anexperienced and driven full-time Sous Chefto join The Waratah.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping lead service, maintain high standards and ensure the team is set up for success.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Lead and coordinate the kitchen team during busy services
Run the pass when required, maintaining consistency, quality and presentation
Take ownership of prep, sections and service readiness
Assist with ordering, stock control, rostering, wastage and cost management
Train, support and mentor junior members of the kitchen team
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation
Take ownership of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
