About the role
Provide safe and effective patient care by taking full responsibility for and/or planning and delivering perioperative nursing care to patients.
Make clinical decisions regarding perioperative patient care and management from admission and throughout hospitalisation, incorporating discharge planning in the plan of care.
Facilitate communication between the patient, family, medical, nursing,ancillary and Allied Health staff.
Evaluate and record progress towards expected outcomes and revisesthe plan of care as necessary.
Appreciate the complexity of moral decision making, workingcooperatively with other members of the health care team to resolveethical and clinical issues arising in patient care.
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience and experience working in perioperative services is optimal.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.
Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team usingeffective communication and interpersonal skills.
