Located on lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation (Sydney CBD) and the Wallumattagal people of the Dharug Nation (Gladesville).

About us
The Health Skilled Councils Authority (HPCA) supports the regulation of health practitioners in NSW through its work with professional councils.
In practice, this means working with the NSW Health Care Complaints Commission to decide the best way to manage complaints about health practitioners and students.

We have offices in the Sydney CBD, on Gadigal Country, and Gladesville, on Wallumattagal Country.

About this job
As an Assistant Program Officer (APO) you will work as part of a team providing administrative and operational support for one or more health professional councils.
You will help ensure Council processes are fair, efficient and responsive, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.
You may work across one or more of these areas:
Providing administrative, coordination and secretariat support to assist the effective operation of health qualified councils
Supporting the administration and management of complaints and concerns received about registered health practitioners
Assisting in the managing matters relating to health practitioners whose professional performance, conduct or health may require attention
Clerk Grade 3/4, salary from $87,199 to $95,482 plus Super and annual leave loading

Has a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality, privacy and respectful handling of sensitive information, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge
Has well-developed administrative and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Can learn new systems and processes, then apply them in a practical workplace setting (Training and ongoing support is provided to assist in learning our systems and NSW legislation)
Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing positively to a team
Can show strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
