Job Description
Venue Manager Hunters Quarter (HQ) is a relaxed and elegant dining destination, located in the Pooles Rock Vineyard of Pokolbin, in the heart of the picturesque Hunter Valley.
Our restaurant is a dining space with something for everyone - whatever the occasion.
With a private terrace in the vineyards, it's the perfect place to while away a few hours with family, friends and fantastic food.
Additional to Restaurant reservations HQ takes group bookings and organise private events upon request.
Responsibilities include -
Ensure exceptional, professional, friendly, efficient and memorable food & beverage service to each guest
Build skilled relationships with regular clients
Team Development - On the job mentoring and training for restaurant team
Stock control, ordering, stock takes
Rosters, wage cost
Till reconciliation including cash handling and client accounting
Maintenance of POS system - Redcat
Manage setup and service for all functions and events, including off site catering as required
Meet sales targets




Maintain highest standards of restaurant upkeep and cleanliness
Follow WHS, RSA and other regulations
Maintain cleaning schedules and equipment
Grow customer satisfaction and positive feedback
Increase social media reviews
Increase sales margins
Assist with recruitment of new team members, complete induction
The successful applicant would possess -
Minimum of two years' experience in a leadership or management role
Current NSW RSA certification
Superior knowledge of food, wine and customer service
Strong work ethic
Exceptional customer service and passion for people
Excellent presentation, grooming and communication skills
A positive, punctual and professional approach
Experience with weddings and corporate events
Knowledge of POS systems (Redcat an advantage but not essential)
Availability to work weekends, public holidays, events, split shifts
