JS Careers are currently looking for an experienced Senior Portfolio Risk Manager who is technically proficient in theuse of SAS/SQL.
This person will sit as a senior part of the credit risk team for a major bank focusing on dataanalytics across their consumer lending portfolios.
Key responsibilities include:
Work closely with the credit analysts and portfolio managers, in providing risk management data analysis to aid in the management of the secured and unsecured credit portfolio.
Develop and track mortgage models to ensure optimal performance.
Provide technical, data and portfolio analysis in support of stress testing and provisioning processes.
The production of monthly/quarterly reporting requirements.
Streamline and automate data extraction in order to improve efficiencies in the reporting process.




Develop a deep understanding of the banks product offerings and customer databases.
The suitable candidate will possess:
6+ years relevant portfolio management / data analytics experience is required.
Financial services experience ishighly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in an analytical subject i.e Mathematics/Statistics or other related disciplines.
An understanding of retail banking products (residential mortgages, credit cards, personal loans preferred).
Proven experience in managing a team of technical analysts.
Experience in SAS/SQL programming is required.
Excellent organisation, communication and the ability to effectively manage time.
Excellent problem solving ability.
