We are currently building a talent pipeline of reliable, experienced waste operators for upcoming short-term contracts, seasonal cover, and project roles across local councils.
Working in local government waste management offers structured day shifts, local routes, and well-maintained modern fleets.

What You'll Be Doing




Operating side-loader collection vehicles for residential wheelie bin services (kerbside waste, recycling, and organic green waste).
Operating rear-loader vehicles for hard waste collections, commercial bins, or manual bulk drop-offs.
Conducting daily vehicle pre-start checks, defect reporting, and maintaining fleet cleanliness.
Navigating established council collection routes safely and efficiently using onboard technology/maps.
Adhering strictly to council safety procedures, route schedules, and pedestrian safety protocols.
What We're Looking For
Licence:Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence (or higher) with a clean driving record.
Experience:Proven experience operatingSide Loaderand/orRear Loaderwaste collection trucks.
Safety First:Strong commitment to WHS, site risk assessment, and safe heavy vehicle operations.
Tickets:Valid General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Availability:Flexible to pick up short-term contracts, ad-hoc relief shifts, or fixed-term temporary assignments at short notice.
Compliance:Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and drug/alcohol screening.
