Our ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated solicitor who takes pride in building strong client relationships, providing strategic and practical advice and guiding clients through complex and challenging family law matters.
This position is offered on a full-time basis; however, part-time arrangements may be considered.
About You
This senior position offers the opportunity to work closely with the team to deliver efficient, high-quality legal advice in all aspects of family law where you will:
Advocate for and negotiate on behalf of clients in mediations and family dispute resolution conferences.
Represent clients in complex matters before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Prepare, review and settle high-quality correspondence and court documentation.
Independently manage a diverse family law caseload and maintain client files.
Work closely with senior team members on complex matters.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth and success of the family law practice.
Represent the firm at industry and networking events, building professional relationships and business development opportunities.

Essentials for the role
Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience in family law
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
A client-centred approach to legal practice
A keen attention to detail and pride in your work
Resilience and flexibility in meeting the demands of clients and courts
Experience with or an interest in complex property settlements
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers and skilled networks
