Must Have Skills
5+ years of experience in DNSoperations/support, with at least 2–3 years at L3 level
Solid hands‐onexperience with BIND (open‐source DNS)
Deep understanding of
TTL, caching behavior, andquery resolution flow
Latency and routingbehavior
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Anycast DNSdeployments
Exposure to other DNS software: Unbound,PowerDNS, Knot DNS




Automation and scripting (Shell, Python,Ansible)
Monitoring tools
Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios,Zabbix
Top 3 responsibilities youwould expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute
Act as L3 escalation point forcomplex DNS incidents impacting production services
Diagnoseand resolve critical DNS outages, performance degradation, and securityissues
Provideexpert support for authoritative and recursive DNS infrastructures
Workclosely with L1/L2 teams, NOC, and Core Network teams to restore servicesquickly
Deep troubleshooting of BIND
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for majorincidents
