Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Project Lead's to join the Women's and Children's Maternity Assessment Centre (MAC) team for a 12-month fixed-term period.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.
In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
Maternity Assessment Centre (MAC) is a dedicated unit that offers maternal and fetal surveillance for women with obstetric related complications in pregnancy.
The unit provides both planned and unplanned services to women in pregnancy.
It is operational seven days a week currently through weekday, weekend and after-hours coverage.
About the Role:
Northern Health is undertaking a review and redesign of the Maternity Assessment Centre (MAC)



Model of Care.The ProjectLead will provide leadership for the planning, development,implementationand evaluation of the Project, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders to support service redesign, change management and workforce readiness.
The role will be a part-time 0.8EFT, fixed-term contract for a 12-month period.
This position is responsible for:
TheProject Lead will undertake a broad range of service redesign, planning,implementationand evaluation activities, including(but are not limited to):
Review and redesign of the Maternity Assessment Centre (MAC) Model of Care
Planning and implementation of the transition to a 24-hour Maternity Assessment Centre service
Development and implementation of a formal maternity triage system
Clinical pathway,policyand procedure development to support new models of care
Project planning, governance,reportingand evaluation
Stakeholder engagement,consultationand multidisciplinary collaboration
Change management,communicationand workforce education to support implementation
Clinical service analysis, including review of activity, demand, patientflowand performance data to inform service improvements
Development of business cases, projectproposalsand reports to support service improvement initiatives
Identification and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to support sustainable service delivery and ongoing evaluation
To be successful in this role you will have:




CurrentAHPRAregistration as a Registered Midwife/ Registered Nurse/ Allied Health
Leadership, projectmanagementor a related discipline are desirable, ordemonstratedequivalent experience
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, qualityimprovementand clinical excellence
Highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
Sound understanding of maternity services, including maternity assessment,triageand patient flow principles
