About Our Client
Our client is an independent accounting and advisory firm based in Red Hill, on Brisbane's city fringe.
The practice has 2 Directors and a team of 18, offering services across tax compliance, accounting, business services, SMSFs, bookkeeping, QBCC reporting, business advisory and related professional services.
The firm is fully cloud-based, operates as a Xero Platinum Partner, and uses modern systems, including Xero, XPM, FYI Docs, and related cloud tools.

The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will work across a diverse portfolio of clients and take on a mix of compliance, client support and advisory-related work.
Your responsibilities will include:




Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, partnerships and SMSFs
Preparing BAS, IAS, PAYG and related compliance obligations
Managing client queries and building strong working relationships
Supporting business advisory projects with Managers and Directors
Using Xero, XPM and FYI to manage workflow and client delivery
Assisting junior or intermediate accountants where required
Contributing to the ongoing quality and efficiency of the team
What You'll Bring
Accounting degree with strong Australian public practice experience
CA or CPA completed or in progress
Strong knowledge of tax compliance and business services work
Confidence preparing work across multiple entity types
Valuable communication skills and a client-focused approach
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Proactive mindset and willingness to keep developing
Experience with Xero, XPM, MYOB, FYI Docs and BGL Simple Fund will be advantageous.
