A Youth Mentor/Employment Consultant's Day involves:
Supporting and understanding a caseload of youth's barriers
Engage with young people in the local community to attract eligible participants to the service
Attend local secondary schools to provide information to staff and students about Transition to Work
Creating and sourcing education and employment opportunities for clients
Supporting clients to identify their skills and abilities
Conduct, create, tailor, and implement an individual service plan
Building sustainable and long-lasting relationships with local employers, registered training organisations and community organisations
Maintain accurate records for clients
Ensuring our local youth hub provides a safe and welcoming environment for young people
Participate in local community, employment and networking events and forums to promote the transition to Work program
About You:
Passionate about working with our clients and local community networks
Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
Experience working in a performance driven environment
Qualification in Social or Youth Work (Desirable)
Previous experience in Employment Services, particularly Transition to Work

To be considered you must...
Have full working rights in Australia
Have a current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
Must have a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
