Working closely with industry, businesses and other key stakeholders, the organisation focuses on improving compliance, strengthening regulatory practices and delivering better outcomes for the community.
As a Principal Project Officer you will work autonomously and provide project leadership across the directorate to effectively implement, govern and oversee priority initiatives.
About the role:
Monitoring and evaluating a newly developed joint targeted compliance program designed to address engaging in a calling fraud.
Reviewing and updating Regulator-approved forms and self-insurer claim forms in consultation with insurers.
Developing and delivering a scheme-wide fraud framework, including metrics for measuring fraud in the scheme.
Leading the development of a general education and awareness plan for all fraud types and duty holders.
Developing and delivering an insurer fraud tool kit to uplift insurer capability to prevent, detect and respond to fraud.
Lead project governance, planning, risk management and milestone reporting.
Coordinate and deliver key initiatives under the Fraud Action Plan.
Monitor performance, trends and progress, providing regular updates to the Fraud Taskforce.
Provide secretariat and governance support to the Fraud Taskforce.
Develop high-quality briefs, reports, frameworks and guidance informed by research and analysis.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support change.
Lead working groups and subject matter experts to achieve agreed project outcomes.
Partner closely with senior leadership to support effective delivery.

Skills and experience required:
Strong project management and end-to-end project delivery
Project governance, planning, scheduling and risk management
Experience within fraud prevention, detection, compliance or investigation environments
Experience within insurance, worker's compensation or accident insurance highly regarded
Understanding of fraud risk, controls and regulatory frameworks
Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management
Executive-level writing, including briefs, reports and governance papers
Facilitation of workshops, working groups and stakeholder forums
Robust analytical, research and problem-solving skills
Monitoring, evaluation and performance reporting
Experience within regulatory, compliance, policy or government environments
Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
