Team Leader - Supported Independent Living (SIL)

We are seeking experienced and confidentTeam Leadersto oversee a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home supporting participants with complex behaviours and high support needs.
There are (2) positions available:
Mentone – 12-month fixed term contract and
Prahran – 6-month fixed term contract
This is a hands‐on leadership role requiring strong clinical insight, sound judgement, and the ability to lead from the front.
You will be responsible for ensuring safe, person‐centred, and high‐quality supports while fostering a positive team culture.
You will be a outstanding fit if you have experience in:
Leading, mentoring and supervising Disability Support Workers within a Supported Independent Living environment
Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and regulatory requirements, person‐centred active support and Child Safe Standards
Proven ability to manage rosters, budgets and compliance requirements
Manage staff training, ongoing development, and performance management
Promoting inclusion, empowerment and active participation for people with disability
Support participants with complex behaviours and psychosocial or intellectual disabilities
Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans and risk management strategies
Monitor documentation, incident reporting, and restrictive practice reporting
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, families and stakeholders
Driving continuous improvement,
staff development and high‐quality practice aligned with the Active Service Model
What you'll bring:
At least two years' experience leading teams in high‐intensity or complex support settings, with a strong understanding of NDIS frameworks and practice standards
Certificate IV in Disability, Community Work or a related qualification (minimum)
Level 2 First Aid Certificate
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Team Leader in Supported Independent Living
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems
A collaborative, values‐driven approach to leadership
