Business Development Manager - Logistics (3PL & Warehousing)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager – 3PL to join our Solutions team. This role is responsible for driving current business growth across warehousing and integrated 3PL solutions, while identifying aligned transport opportunities that support COPE's broader network.
You will play a critical role in designing commercially viable and operationally sound 3PL solutions, working closely with Operations, Pricing, and Leadership teams to ensure successful delivery and long-term customer partnerships. This is a strategic and consultative sales role requiring strong industry expertise, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a structured sales strategy to build a pipeline of 3PL and warehousing opportunities
Identify, qualify, and shape opportunities aligned with COPE's facility capability and target margins
Design integrated 3PL solutions including storage, inventory management, handling, and labour models
Ensure all opportunities are commercially sound, operationally feasible, and submitted for internal approval (RMM) prior to commitment
Collaborate with Operations and Pricing teams to validate capacity, solution design, and pricing structures
Structure complementary transport solutions aligned to 3PL opportunities and network requirements
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity data within CRM systems
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities
Support onboarding of new customers and ensure compliance with internal processes and service standards
What will you bring to the role:
Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics business development, with strong 3PL warehousing exposure
Demonstrated understanding of 3PL operations including storage, inventory, and value-added services
Proven ability to design and sell integrated logistics and warehousing solutions
Robust commercial acumen with the ability to structure profitable and sustainable deals
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels
High attention to detail and strong planning capability
Advanced communication and presentation skills
Experience working within structured approval and governance frameworks is highly desirable
