The Senior Operator, Production operates the manufacturing process and assists the coordination of a production shift producing quality products that meet quality and technical specifications to meet customer demand. The role is primarily responsible for the production of Dairy Starter Cultures so that they contribute to the growth and profitability of dsm-firmenich.
Your key responsibilities
Ensure all GMP (Positive Manufacturing Practice), SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) and Quality standards are maintained at all times
Operate processing equipment by making up raw materials into media, transferring, monitoring fermentation, harvesting and freezing cultures
Report to Production Supervisor when process deviations or process delays occurs
Shift work and weekend work as required to meet demand
Actively ensure that Food Safety, HACCP and quality requirements are carried out as per company policies and procedures
This role involves the use of respiratory protective equipment; therefore, employees must be clean-shaven to ensure effective PPE performance and compliance with safety standards

You bring
Over 5 years' experience in a Food Manufacturing or related field
Familiarity with MANUFEX and Lean Manufacturing
Physically capable of bending, lifting and repetitive actions
Understanding of HMI and PLCs
Boiler operator
Intermediate computer skills i.e. excel, word, power point, etc
