The Fabricator is responsible for performing fabrication and welding tasks in the Workshop, in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures and company standards, while maintaining safe work practices. The Fabricator is required to complete assigned tasks to a high-quality level and ensure fabrication tasks are completed on schedule. This role is based at our Berkeley Vale workshop and will report to the Fabrication Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to all WHS regulations, and company policies and procedures
Perform fabrication and welding activities, in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, relevant standards and customer requirements
Perform all work to a high-quality standard
Ensure required quality records, inspection reports, and job documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner
Maintain a clean, protected and organised work area
Ensure correct use and care of company-issued tools,
welding equipment and machinery
Support and mentor apprentices, or less experienced tradespersons
What We're Looking For
Experience in fabrication and structural welding
Ability to read an interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and specifications
Strong understanding of welding standards
Good understanding of WHS requirements in a fabrication workshop
Physically capable of working in a hands-on workshop environment
