Revit | Design-Focused Architecture Studio
Enjoy improving systems, supporting Architects and getting the very best out of Revit? This could be the role for you.
Lead BIM across the studio
Shape Revit standards
Long-term technical leadership
Over the years I've met plenty of BIM Managers. The best ones aren't simply Revit experts. They're approachable, enjoy helping others, and become the people project teams naturally turn to when they need help solving problems.
That's exactly the type of person this studio is hoping to find.
This role is about much more than maintaining BIM standards. You'll become a trusted technical resource across the studio, helping project teams work more efficiently, improving workflows and making the most of Revit throughout the design and documentation process.
Just as importantly, this role will suit someone who understands that BIM exists to support great architecture, not the other way around. The ideal person will already be working within a design-led architectural studio and enjoy helping Architects deliver beautifully resolved projects.
Why this role is worth considering
Not every BIM role is about managing the largest team or chasing the highest salary. Sometimes it's about the quality of the architecture, the people you'll work alongside and having the prospect to influence the way an entire studio works.
You'll lead BIM standards and workflows, working closely with project teams to improve documentation, consistency and the way Revit is used across the studio.
If you enjoy sharing your knowledge,
solving problems and helping others deliver better work, I think you'll enjoy this role.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead BIM standards and workflows across the studio
Support Architects with Revit and technical problem solving
Develop and improve templates, families and documentation standards
Coordinate model quality and documentation consistency
Mentor project teams and share BIM knowledge
Identify opportunities to improve systems and workflows
What they're looking for
Advanced Revit proficiency
Previous experience as a BIM Manager, BIM Coordinator or similar within an Australian architectural studio
Experience working in a design-led architectural studio where design quality and documentation are equally valued
Strong understanding of Australian documentation standards and construction documentation
Experience supporting multiple project teams
Someone who enjoys helping others and improving the way teams work
Full, unrestricted Australian working rights (no sponsorship available) and currently residing in Australia
What stood out to me about this brief was the emphasis placed on the person rather than just the software.
They're looking for someone who enjoys being the go-to person within the studio. Someone who's approachable, patient, enjoys sharing their knowledge and takes pride in helping project teams deliver their best work.
If you're looking for a role where your influence extends well beyond managing Revit models, I'd encourage you to get in touch.
