The Position
This is an chance for an experienced Tower Crane Technician to join a leading crane OEM servicing self-erecting and top-slewing tower cranes, including luffing-jib, hammerhead and topless cranes.
Responsibilities will include:
Pre-delivery inspections and commissioning of new tower cranes
Supporting crane erection & installation
Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs
Working with variable-speed drives, PLCs, electronic control systems, safety circuits, limit switches, sensors and onboard diagnostic systems
Breakdown support at customer sites
Providing high-quality technical support and customer service
Completing service reports and relevant safety documentation
The company is open to candidates relocating from elsewhere in Australia or New Zealand. Applications are also welcomed from experienced candidates who require employer sponsorship or are currently sponsored and seeking to transfer employers.
Candidates must have relevant tower crane experience and hold an electrical qualification obtained in either Australia or New Zealand.
The Benefits
Excellent hourly rate of $60-$70 per hour
Superannuation, fully maintained vehicle and overtime
Predominantly Monday-to-Friday position
No FIFO roster or regular work away from home

The Candidate
The successful candidate must be a qualified electrician with significant experience servicing and repairing tower cranes.
You may currently work for a crane contractor, crane hire company, service agent, dealership or OEM; however, hands-on tower crane experience and strong electrical fault-finding capabilities are essential.
You will also possess:
An unrestricted (a Grade) electrical qualification obtained in Australia or New Zealand
Experience with servicing tower cranes
Knowledge of variable-speed drives, PLCs, electronic controls, safety circuits, limit switches, sensors and diagnostic systems
Excellent electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
Strong customer-service and communication skills
A commitment to safe work practices
A current driver's licence
This position requires someone who can confidently hit the ground running in a tower crane service environment.
