The Opportunity
Based in our Arndell Park office, we're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team full-time. With a background in rail, infrastructure, asset maintenance or a similar technical trades environment, you'll understand our clients' workforce requirements and deliver tailored labour hire solutions. You'll take a proactive approach to account management, workforce planning and identifying opportunities to grow existing partnerships.
This is a hands-on role where you'll manage the end-to-end delivery of labour hire services, from quoting and recruitment through to workforce mobilisation, client support and successful project delivery. Working closely with clients and field employees, you'll ensure workforce requirements are met while maintaining exceptional service and compliance. Occasional after-hours support may be required to meet operational and client needs.
Key Responsibilities




Responding to customer enquiries and providing quotation for delivery of labour solutions for their needs
Providing day-to-day management of customer billing and ensuring correct payroll requirement for our contractors.
Balance the rostering of labour delivery across multiple customer sites
Responsible for quality assurance, customer delivery and relationship management
Ensure that all compliance and statutory regulations, OHS, environmental and public health objectives are met
HR matters – recruiting, scheduling, supervising, overseeing and onboarding of staff and management of performance
Sales Growth: Find and sign new clients who need blue collar workers.
Account Management: Keep current clients happy and find ways to expand service.
Industry Networking: Build deep ties in the rail, crane/lift equipment, and mechanical services sectors.
Requirements
Previous experience of rail/construction/engineering operations would be advantageous, so you understand our customer needs better
Experience in leading new business development
Ideally previous experience working in an office environment carrying out quotation activities, managing customer calls, ensuring service delivery to customer and responsive to requirements
Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills
Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to manage stakeholders and good collaboration across business units, functions and teams
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to a changing environment
Good PC skills and knowledge of MS Office suite
Current driver's licence desirable
