About the Role
Join our dynamic community healthcare organisation and become a pivotal member of our engaged workforce. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinician (Max term Parental Leave Cover) to join our headspace team in Hawthorn, providing clinical support and supervision to the team and provide assessment and intervention to young people and families using a trauma-informed approach to enhance mental health and wellbeing outcomes
Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership and line management to the Team at headspace
Working within the Leadership team to manage rosters, oversee waitlists and demand management
Deliver individual, group and family support
Provide case management/care coordination to a small number of young people with complex and chronic risk
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualifications in psychology and current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker
Demonstrated experience working in youth mental health, alcohol and other drugs, community or similar health services (minimum five years' experience
Demonstrated high level of skill in clinical risk assessment and management, including assessing for risk of suicide, self-harm and other risk domains
Recognised qualifications/training and demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision
Registered with AHPRA as a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, or ability to register within first six months of employment
Demonstrated ability to work creatively and respectfully with people from a diverse range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including LGBTIQA+, culturally and linguistically diverse, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Required Skills
An approach that aligns with trauma-informed care principles of welcome, hope and empathy when working with young people and their family/friends
Genuine interest and passion working with young people and their family/friends
Skills in working with young people across the *****-year age group and a range of developmental ages
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Effective time management and prioritisation skills
Good knowledge and understanding of the youth mental health and related services sector
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated behaviours consistent with AccessHC values

Evidence of the right to work in Australia and a valid Driver's Licence
Pay range and compensation p
This is a 12-month max term contract role until July **** based in Hawthorn. The salary band range depending on experience is between $115,******- $135,****** plus super and salary packaging perks
