Warehouse Supervisor
We are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team based in Horsley Park. The successful applicant will be responsible to organise and manage the operational function of the warehouse (Goods In, Order Preparation, Inventory Movements, Goods Outbound etc.), to optimise efficiency, provide exceptional customer service, manage safety and quality standards, while building and maintaining a skilled, effective team.
Key responsibilities
Takeresponsibility for the day-to-day running of warehouse, i.e. Goods In, Order Preparation and Dispatch, Inventory Movement, Goods Outbound
Planning staff workload and task assignment to consistently maximise warehouse and labour resources, and to meet productivity efficiencies and customer objectives
Meet daily customer KPIs (e.g. order preparation, picking, packing and shipping)
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle count programs to reduce inventory discrepancies
Supervision, development and direction of direct reports, effective scheduling of resources, managing performance, providing training and coaching, and coordination of workforce planning
Maintenance of customer SLAs to ensure agreed commercial terms are updated to reflect any changes, in collaboration with Warehouse and Account Management
Comply with policies and procedures while ensuring adherence to Workplace Health & Safety and Kaizen (continuous improvement) principles
Skills, Experience, Knowledge required
Senior high school certificate or equivalent (pre-requisite)
Further education or qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field would be highly regarded
Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience within a warehouse, including a minimum of 3 years proven supervisory/people management experience
Proven understanding of the supply chain, logistics and transport industries
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present briefings/updates to small groups
Highly self-motivated and the ability to work effectively as part of a team effort or autonomously
Good interpersonal skills and experience in developing qualified working relationships with stakeholders (internal, customers, partners, suppliers)
Demonstrated experience with Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Manhattan Scale)
