XReality Group, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking an Electronics Assembler to join our team in Brookvale. We specialise in creating cutting-edge products for various industries, including military and law enforcement. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality systems that meet the rigorous demands of our clients. We are open to applicants ranging from entry-level graduates, experienced electronics production workers, and experienced Electronics Engineers.
About the role:
As an Electronics Assembler, you will work alongside our production and engineering team to assemble, solder, and test electronic components, subassemblies, and devices that work with our virtual reality software. This is a hands-on, bench-based role ideal for someone with electronics assembly experience who enjoys precise work, takes pride in build quality, and wants to grow their skills in a small, team-oriented team.
This is a casual position, however we prefer someone who can do at least 4 full days a week, with the potential to move into a full time role.
Responsibilities:
Assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical components and soldering of PCBs, cables, connectors, batteries, and sub-assemblies
Conduct continuity checks and basic electrical testing using a multimeter
Functional and visual inspection testing of completed assemblies with clear pass/fail recording against our quality checklists
Assist with firmware flashing and device configuration
Support integration of electronics into larger systems such as trackers, sensors, and peripherals
Rework, repair, and de-soldering of returned or failed units
Keeping your workstation, tools, and ESD-safe areas clean, calibrated, and well-organised
Flagging quality issues, non-conformances, or process improvement ideas to the production lead
Assist to develop or update electronics assembly build guides and assembly instructions for device manufacturing
What we're looking for:
1-2 years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, PCB assembly, or a similar bench/production role
Comfortable reading and following assembly drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and written work instructions
Good eyesight and fine motor control - this role involves small components and detailed work under magnification
Careful, methodical, and quality-focused; happy to repeat tasks to a consistent standard
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained, as well as collaboratively with a small team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks in a fast-paced growing company
Basic computer literacy for documentation and recording activities and general communications as our company is primarily tech-focused
Must be able to work in our Brookvale warehouse (in-person role)
Must be an Australian Citizen due to the nature of project and rights to participate in the work
