Venu Plus Management is looking for a creative, organised and hands‐on
Social Media Coordinator
to join our Marketing & Communications team.
Based in
Upper Mount Gravatt
, this casual role is ideal for someone who loves creating engaging content, understands what performs on social media and is comfortable getting out into venues to capture the action.
Working across a diverse portfolio of hospitality brands, you'll be responsible for bringing our venues to life online - from filming food, drinks and events to planning content calendars, managing daily social activity and helping grow our audiences.
This is a varied role combining
content creation, social media management, community engagement and marketing coordination
- with genuine potential to grow into a full‐time position.
What you'll be doing
Your week will include a mix of on-site content creation, social media management and time working with our marketing team. Key responsibilities include:
Creating, curating and scheduling engaging content across our hospitality brands, including
Beach House Bar & Grill, Casa Cibo Italian, Madame Wu and Chu the Phat
Visiting venues on a
set weekly content schedule
to photograph and film food, drinks, specials, new menu items, events and venue activity
Editing photos and video footage into polished, engaging content for Instagram, Facebook and other relevant platforms
Planning and maintaining content calendars across multiple brands and accounts
Writing engaging, on‐brand captions and scheduling social media content
Creating and posting
daily Stories
featuring specials, promotions, events, bookings and general venue content
Developing and implementing social media campaigns aligned with broader marketing objectives and individual brand guidelines
Coordinating influencer and content creator partnerships, including outreach, scheduling, venue liaison and content follow‐up
Monitoring social media channels and responding to comments and messages in a timely,
professional and on‐brand manner
Tracking key social media metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth and content performance, and providing regular reporting
Liaising directly with venue managers to identify upcoming events, promotions, specials and content opportunities
Collaborating with the wider marketing team to maintain consistent messaging, visual identity and brand voice
Keeping across social media trends, platform updates, trending audio and emerging content formats
Creating straightforward graphics and visual assets for social media using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
Identifying new content ideas and opportunities to increase engagement and grow our online communities
Assisting with light marketing administration
one day per week in the office
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is creative and confident behind the camera, but equally organised when it comes to calendars, scheduling and managing multiple accounts.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in
social media management, content creation or marketing coordination
Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook and other major social platforms, including current algorithms, formats and best practices
Confidence photographing and filming
food, drinks, people, events and hospitality environments
Video editing skills and the ability to turn raw footage into engaging Reels, Stories and short‐form content
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to adapt tone of voice across different brands
A creative eye and the ability to generate fresh,
engaging content ideas
Strong organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to manage multiple brands and deadlines simultaneously
Experience using social media scheduling and management platforms such as
Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social or similar
Working knowledge of social media analytics and the ability to use performance data to improve future content
Basic graphic design skills using
Adobe Creative Suite
An understanding of influencer and creator marketing
A strong awareness of current social media trends, platform changes and emerging features
The confidence to work independently in venues while also collaborating closely with our marketing and venue teams
A current driver's licence and ability to travel between our venues
A qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related field is desirable, but
practical experience and a strong portfolio are equally valued
Experience creating content for
hospitality, food, beverage, entertainment or lifestyle brands
would be highly regarded.
