We are seeking a
Village Manager
to join our team in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (Woollahra LGA). This is a
part-time position
offering an opportunity to lead and manage the operations of our retirement village community as it goes through a period of change. As Village Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional service whilst maintaining the highest standards of village operations. This role is essential to creating a thriving, well-managed community environment where our residents can enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.
Key responsibilities
Building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, addressing concerns and ensuring their satisfaction
Overseeing day-to-day village operations and ensuring all facilities are maintained to a high standard
Managing and supervising village staff, fostering a positive workplace culture
Coordinating social and recreational activities that enhance residents' quality of life and community engagement
Managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and health and safety standards
Liaising with external service providers and contractors to ensure quality delivery of services
Preparing reports and documentation related to village performance and resident matters
Promoting a culture of exceptional customer service throughout the village
Conducting tours with prospective residents.
What we are looking for
Have experience in sales, real estate, or hospitality, preferably in the retirement living industry
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and stakeholders
Ability to manage a budget
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
Proficiency in using computer systems and software for reporting and administrative tasks
A genuine passion for supporting and serving older adults within a community setting
Preferably, a qualification in management, business administration, or community services
