About the role
Lakeside Hotel is seeking a Functions/Events/Restaurant Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Bendigo, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional service across our functions, events, and restaurant operations. As a key member of our team, you will oversee day-to-day activities, maintain service standards, and create memorable experiences for our guests. This role requires a hands-on approach with a strong focus on team leadership, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate functions, events, and restaurant service operations to ensure all guests receive exceptional experiences
Manage rostering, scheduling, and staff allocation across functions, events, and restaurant departments
Train, mentor, and develop team members to maintain high standards of hospitality and service quality
Liaise with clients, event coordinators, and internal teams to coordinate special events and functions
Monitor stock levels, supplies, and equipment maintenance within assigned areas
Handle guest queries and complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution and customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of bookings, revenue, and operational metrics
Implement and monitor service standards and quality controls




Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and also other departments within the Hotel, such as Kitchen, Front Office & Housekeeping
What we're looking for
Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or events.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage service, and event coordination
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Problem-solving skills with a proactive and can-do attitude
Relevant RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
