What's the Opportunity?
A well-established 105-bed residential aged care home in Tweed Heads is seeking an experienced and people-focused Care Manager to join the team at full occupancy. You will play a key role in strengthening clinical leadership, training and supporting staff, and helping ensure residents receive consistently high-quality care.

About the Role
As the clinical leader of a 100-bed residential aged care home, you will lead the care team, support clinical standards and develop staff capability. This role combines clinical leadership, team development, staff training and resident-focused care within a refurbished, fully occupied aged care environment. You will have a key role in training and mentoring the existing team, including supporting a number of junior RNs who have recently joined from overseas.
Key Responsibilities
Lead
the clinical care team to deliver safe, high-quality resident outcomes
Develop
and mentor RNs and care staff, supporting capability and confidence
Train
and coach junior staff, particularly those new to the Australian aged care environment
Monitor
clinical standards, documentation and care delivery across the home
Support
the AN-ACC funding and clinical teams to ensure accurate and effective care processes
Build
strong relationships with residents, families and key stakeholders
Motivate
the team through visible, supportive and accountable leadership
Work
closely with the General Manager, Clinical Care Coordinator and Nurse Advisor to drive consistent standards
About You
You are a confident,
supportive and highly motivating individual who genuinely enjoys developing people and strengthening teams during periods of change and growth. You will also bring:
A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Care Manager in residential aged care
Current AHPRA registration
Experience leading and developing clinical teams
Confidence training and mentoring junior RNs and supporting staff capability
