Financial Accountant

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving financial excellence across our investment and trading entities. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated accountant to own complex portfolios, sharpen their strategic analysis skills, and quick-track their professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Lead end-to-end monthly and quarterly management reporting across various investment trading entities.
Trust & Investment Accounting:
Manage complex accounting processes tailored to trust formats and investment structures, including journals, accruals, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Tax & Statutory Compliance:
Prepare and assist with BAS, FBT, Income Tax reconciliations, statutory reporting, and annual audit processes.
Cash & Variance Management:
Review bank/investment reconciliations, execute cash flow tracking/forecasting, and deliver insightful variance analysis.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with internal teams and senior leadership to provide high-quality ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who wants to understand the "why" behind the numbers.
Experience:
2-5 years of accounting experience.



A background in Business Services (Public Practice) or an investment/family office environment is highly advantageous.
Technical Domain:
Strong hands-on experience with
month-end reporting
and
statutory tax obligations
. Familiarity with
trust structures
is preferred.
Systems & Tools:
High proficiency in
Xero
and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Qualifications:
CA/CPA qualified, or actively studying towards it.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication skills, a natural curiosity to learn, and the absolute discretion required to handle high-net-worth confidential data.
