is a well-established, family-friendly specialist clinic is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their practice.

This is a part-time position working Wednesday to Friday, with flexibility to assist on Monday and Tuesday during periods of increased demand. Occasional early starts may also be required.
Normal days and hours:
Wednesday - 8 am – 5.30 pm
Duties include:
Meeting and greeting patients and managing enquiries
Answering telephonecalls promptly with a polite and courteous manner
Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically
Booking and confirming patient appointments
File and scan documents
Mail duties (open, stamp, and distribute)
Data entry of patient details with high accuracy
Process private patient accounts on the day of consultation
Accept and receipt of payment, operate EFTPOS terminal
Communicate with Medicare and DVA
Use of Zedmed medical software (experience preferred)
Preparation of UV treatment room
Sterilisation of instruments
Administering UV treatment
Opening and closing duties
Follow OHS obligations
Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Proficient in the use of a keyboard/computer
Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality
Work rights in Australia or be eligible for such
Previous experience in a general practice/medical environment
Proficiency in Windows operating systemKnowledge of medical software
Understanding of medical terminology
Competence in the use of relevant equipment
Training or experience in Medicare item numbers and health funds
