What will you actually be doing?
When something happens to a customer's home, it can be stressful and disruptive. You'll be one of the people they rely on to help make the claims process clearer, easier and less overwhelming.
This isn't just an answering‐calls role.
You'll manage your own portfolio of home claims, keeping customers informed from start to finish while working with builders, engineers, suppliers and internal teams to move each claim forward.
You'll review information, solve problems, make decisions within policy guidelines and take ownership of delivering a great customer experience.
Your day could include:
Managing a portfolio of home insurance claims
Speaking with customers and keeping them updated throughout their claim
Understanding individual circumstances and providing the right level of support
Reviewing information and reports from builders, engineers and suppliers
Making accurate decisions in line with policy guidelines
Resolving issues and finding practical solutions
Handling challenging or emotional conversations with empathy and confidence
Setting clear expectations about what happens next

We're open to people from a wide range of backgrounds.
You might currently work in customer service, a contact centre, banking, retail, hospitality, travel, telecommunications, utilities, administration or another role where looking after customers is a big part of what you do.
We're far more interested in how you deal with people than the industry you come from.
You'll ideally bring:
Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help people
Excellent verbal and written communication
Empathy and the ability to build rapport quickly
Confidence dealing with different personalities and situations
The ability to stay calm during difficult or emotional conversations
Valuable judgement and problem‐solving skills
Strong attention to detail
The ability to organise your workload and manage competing priorities
Confidence using technology and learning new systems
Accountability, integrity and professionalism
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Hours & roster
This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a rotating roster.
Current operating hours are 6:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Saturday, with a Saturday shift currently required only once every 7–8 weeks.
Your next career move could start here. You don't need to already work in insurance to build a successful career in it. If you're looking for stability, comprehensive training, great employee benefits and genuine opportunities to develop and progress, this is an excellent chance to take the customer service experience you already have and turn it into something more.
