About This Opportunity
School of Communication and Arts – Full‐time, permanent lecturer position (Lecturer LevelB or Senior Lecturer LevelC) to commence January****.
The role involves teaching, research, supervision and service within the rapidly evolving field of AI and Communication.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, deliver and assess courses; coordinate curriculum; provide academic counselling; comply with university teaching policies.
Establish and grow a research program; collaborate on projects; secure and manage external funding; publish in peer‐reviewed journals; employ rigorous research methods; participate in scholarly discussions.
Supervise Honours and HigherDegree by Research students; promote responsible conduct of research; provide coaching and career development to staff; manage staff in accordance with university policy; resolve conflicts promptly.
Build partnerships and demonstrate leadership through mentoring; serve in internal committees; engage with external stakeholders; support colleagues; uphold university values.
About You – Qualifications
PhD in Communication, Media or a closely related field.
For LevelB:



a growing profile in teaching and research; evidence of refereed publications and conference presentations; experience in securing and managing research funding; high quality teaching across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate settings; course coordination and curriculum development experience; supervision of Honours and research students; meaningful internal service roles and external engagement.
For LevelC: an established, nationally and internationally recognised teaching and research profile; sustained record of refereed publications and conference participation; strong success in obtaining and managing external research funding; evidence of high quality teaching across all levels; robust experience in course coordination, curriculum development and programme innovation; proven supervision of Honours and research students; substantial internal and external service contributions.
