MASTER PACIFIC
Melbourne
Own the end-to-end supply chain of a national furniture wholesaler — from forecast to container to the floors of Australia's biggest retailers.
About us
Master Pacific is a privately owned, family-run furniture wholesaler based in Melbourne's north-east. For over 20 years we've imported and distributed furniture and bedding to Australia's leading retail names, as well as the architecture and design sector, shipping from four warehouses across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing family business, playing a pivotal role in driving our sales & operations planning.
The opportunity
Our Supply & Planning Manager sits on the leadership team and reports directly to the Managing Director. You'll own the entire plan-to-land cycle: sales & operations planning, demand forecasting, purchasing, container planning, international freight, and supplier performance. You'll lead the planning function — including offshore coordinator support — and you'll have genuine license to redesign processes, not just run them. We're investing in our planning capability right now, including the rollout of Net stock demand planning software, and you'll drive that from the front.
What you'll own
Run
the monthly S&OP; cycle end-to-end — cadence, inputs, and decisions
Build and maintain
demand forecasts and replenishment plans across the full product range
Prepare
purchasing plans and budgets from sales history, forecasts, and customer program commitments
Manage
container planning, shipment bookings,
and goods in transit across four national warehouses
Negotiate
international freight rates, and lead the annual freight RFQ
Own
supplier relationships and performance against KPIs — lead times, quality, and OTD
Drive
inventory health: stock cover, ageing, and slow/obsolete stock management
Lead
the Netstock demand planning rollout and get full value from our ERP (MYOB Acumatica)
Deliver
clear reporting to the leadership team through Power BI and monthly reviews
Lead
and develop a small planning team, including offshore coordinators
What you'll bring
5+ years in supply and demand planning, with 2+ years leading a team
A deep, practical command of the S&OP; process — you've owned it, not just attended it
Solid ERP capability and hands-on experience with demand planning software (MYOB or Netstock highly regarded)
Advanced Excel and confident data analysis; Power BI experience an advantage
Import/wholesale supply chain experience — containers, freight, and international suppliers (highly regarded)
Sharp commercial judgement, excellent communication, and the drive to improve how things are done
A competitive Salary package, negotiable based on your experience
A genuine seat at the leadership table in a growing family business
Direct access to owners and fast decisions — no layers, no bureaucracy
Autonomy to redesign the planning function and make it yours
Bonus annual leave day on your birthday
A collaborative, down-to-earth team culture
