About INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME
Intensive Care at Home is Australia's only third-party accredited specialist home ICU nursing provider — ISO ****:**** certified, BSI Group audited, with a zero non-conformance record. As an NDIS-registered provider operating across Victoria, NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, we deliver hospital-level intensive care nursing — including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy management, and complex critical care — safely, in our clients' own homes.
Our team of 150+ Critical Care Registered Nurses gives families and participants an alternative to prolonged hospitalisation and long-term ICU admission.
We are Australia's pioneer in this field, operating since ****, and we set the clinical governance benchmark that others are now trying to follow.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced clinical leader to take on the
National Clinical Operations Manager
role, overseeing clinical service delivery, governance, and quality across all states in which we operate. Reporting directly to the Director, you'll lead our clinical governance framework, ensure our accreditation-grade standards are maintained and strengthened, and support the continued national growth of our service.
This is a senior, hands‐on leadership role for someone who can operate confidently at both the strategic level (governance, compliance, accreditation, stakeholder engagement) and the operational level (client outcomes, incident investigation, staff supervision and development).
Key Responsibilities
Oversee safe, effective delivery of complex home-based care nationally — including tracheostomy management, ventilation, PEG feeds and catheter care
Lead the clinical governance framework: policies, procedures, audits,
incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Maintain and drive our accreditation standards (ISO ****:****, NDIS Practice Standards) across all states
Supervise, support and develop Critical Care Registered Nurses and state-based clinical teams
Conduct clinical risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Liaise with GPs, hospitals, specialists and allied health professionals to coordinate client care
Engage with families to ensure satisfaction and client‐centred care
Report on clinical KPIs, incident trends, staffing requirements and service gaps to the Director
Support national service expansion, tender submissions and funding applications
Represent Intensive Care at Home in provider forums, stakeholder meetings and promotional events
What We Are Looking For
Current AHPRA registration (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia)
Recognised postgraduate qualification in intensive care / critical care nursing
Substantial ICU/critical care clinical experience, with proven leadership of multidisciplinary nursing teams
In‐depth knowledge of clinical governance frameworks, NDIS Practice Standards and accreditation processes
Strong incident investigation and RCA experience
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clinicians, families and stakeholders professionally and compassionately
Confidence operating across multiple states and working remotely
A valid driver's licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and a police check less than 2 years old (or willingness to obtain)
Why Join Us
Join Australia's only accredited specialist home ICU nursing provider
Play a genuine national leadership role shaping the future of intensive care at home
Work directly with the Director in a growing, mission‐driven organisation
Be part of a team giving families a real alternative to long‐term hospitalisation
Intensive Care at Home is an NDIS‐registered provider (Provider Number **********, ABN **************).
