YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the General Manager – Impact & Sustainability, you'll work closely with our Impact Reporting Specialist to strengthen our ESG reporting and compliance while driving strategic initiatives that create lasting impact. Depending on experience, this role will be appointed at either Specialist or Manager level.
In this role you will:
Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our ESG strategy, Mutually valuable banking for people and planet.
Lead/contribute to a variety of policies, frameworks and initiatives across the organisation.
Partner with the Impact Reporting Specialist to deliver high-quality ESG reporting, disclosures and compliance obligations.
Coordinate the collection, analysis and interpretation of data.
Build strong relationships embedding ESG into business planning and operations.
Develop engaging ESG communications, training and educational resources.
Support external benchmarking, certifications and impact measurement.
Monitor emerging ESG trends, regulatory developments and industry best practice.
You'll thrive if you enjoy connecting the dots between strategy, data, people and purpose.
YOUR PROFILE
You may already work in sustainability or ESG, or perhaps built a career in accounting, risk, compliance,
environmental science, legal, communications, corporate affairs, governance or another discipline where you've helped organisations navigate ESG challenges and opportunities.
You'll bring:
Experience delivering ESG, sustainability or impact-related initiatives.
Knowledge of one or more frameworks, standards or certifications such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, B Impact Assessment, Mutual Value Measurement, Global Alliance for Banking on Values Scorecard, UN Sustainable Development Goals, Reconciliation Action Plans or Contemporary Slavery reporting.
Exceptional attention to detail with an appreciation for the importance of accurate data and reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
The confidence to build relationships, influence stakeholders and bring others on the journey.
A collaborative mindset and a desire to contribute to something bigger than yourself.
Experience within the mutual banking sector would be highly regarded, but it's not essential.
