Lopez Reeves Pty Ltd is seeking a Cook to join our hospitality team on a casual basis. This position is based in Black Rock VIC **** and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment where culinary excellence and teamwork are paramount. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining the standards that define our establishment. This casual role provides flexibility whilst allowing you to contribute meaningfully to our food preparation and service operations.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes and plating standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation and cooking equipment at all times
Ensure all food preparation and cooking practices comply with health and safety regulations
Monitor food quality and consistency whilst adapting to customer preferences and dietary requirements
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to manage meal service during busy periods
Rotate stock and ingredients appropriately, following proper food storage procedures
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Contribute to the continuous improvement of menu items and food presentation
What we're looking for
Proven experience working as a Cook in a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary fundamentals
Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards,



with relevant certifications preferred
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak service times
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
Reliability and flexibility with shift patterns, including potential weekend and evening work
Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
