Senior Fund Analyst (Parental Leave - Fixed term)
We are seeking a high-performing and commercially minded Senior Fund Analyst to join our Sydney team on an
8 month Fixed Term contract.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a portfolio of ESR-managed funds, partnering closely with Funds Management, Asset Management, and Finance teams to drive performance and support investment decision-making. Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you will play a key role in financial modelling, fund analysis, and investor reporting, contributing to the delivery of strategic initiatives and portfolio growth across the business.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of fund financial models, ensuring accurate forecasting of cash flows, capital requirements, and investment performance
Deliver detailed financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making and optimise fund outcomes
Support the preparation of annual business plans, quarterly valuation and reporting, and investor deliverables
Partner with the Development, Funds Management and Asset Management teams to evaluate acquisitions, developments, leasing, and divestments
Contribute to the development of fund and asset-level investment strategies and key initiatives
Undertake market research and analyse relevant economic and real estate data to inform investment decisions
Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including with investors and service providers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and approach:
Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, real estate, or a related discipline
Approximately 3 - 6+ years' relevant experience across funds management, real estate, investment banking, advisory, or a related field
Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, with advanced Excel skills and experience in real estate forecasting tools




Experience preparing high-quality presentations and reports (PowerPoint)
Robust commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience within real assets, property, or funds management is highly regarded but not essential
Comfortable leveraging technology, including AI tools, to enhance efficiency and output
