Our Client
Our Federal Government client is Australia's principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.
The Role
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening cyber security capability within a large, complex government environment.
You will contribute to the development and execution of a Cyber Security Strategy, Roadmap, and Capability Model - ensuring security initiatives are aligned to enterprise priorities while proactively addressing emerging threats.
Your duties will include:
Contributing to the development and enhancement of the Cyber Security Strategy and Roadmap
Supporting the design and implementation of a Cyber Security Capability Model
Providing strategic cyber security advice across programs and enterprise initiatives
Identifying capability gaps and recommending uplift activities aligned to best practice frameworks




Engaging with stakeholders to ensure alignment between cyber strategy and broader organisational objectives
Supporting participation in whole-of-government cyber security initiatives and uplift programs
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
Strong understanding of government security frameworks including ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, ISO ***** and/or NIST
Experience in cyber strategy development, enterprise architecture, or capability design
Ability to translate technical risk concepts into explicit, executive-ready advice
Demonstrated experience working within large, complex ICT environments
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build consensus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of governance-level documentation
