We are seeking a Civil Estimating Expert to support Energy EPC business growth in Australia.
About the Role
Budgeting of renewable energy EPC project including Indicative Price
Compile comprehensive project estimates by factoring in labour and material expenses, subcontractor quotations, and overhead costs
Collaborate seamlessly with diverse departments to accumulate essential data for building estimates while ensuring an all-encompassing understanding of the project
Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost computations based on project schematics and specifications




Evaluate and facilitate negotiations with multiple vendors and subcontractors to ensure both competitive pricing and quality
Coordinate effectively with project managers, cost controllers, planners, and engineers to review and finalise estimates
Continuously monitor project expenditures and update estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare and deliver estimates to clients, effectively addressing any queries or concerns they may have Relevant Technical Knowledge relating to Product Specifications
Maintain and manage comprehensive documentation and records of estimates, ensuring their accuracy and completeness
Strong analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate and analyse data, trends, and variables influencing project costs
Proficiency in tracking actual project costs against estimates and identifying discrepancies to make necessary adjustments
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all project cost components are accurately accounted for in estimates
About You
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
Experience 5+ years to support bid/tender phase
Experience in Renewable PV Solar Farm and/or large-scale BESS projects (minimum 100MW)
Valuable understanding of PV and BESS system design
Experience in an EPC environment managing project design scope, schedule, and budget
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
