EDQ plays a critical role in unlocking land for housing supply both in Priority Development Areas (PDAs) and on surplus Government land. The Development Services division within EDQ enables recent housing, commercial and mixed-use development across Queensland through planning, development approvals and a significant infrastructure funding program.
As a Planner In Our Established Growth Team, You Will Contribute To EDQ's Goals Focusing On The Processing Of Development Applications By
Provide statutory land use planning advice and services to facilitate outcomes.
Prepare professional written information, interpretations, briefings, presentations and reports.
Assist in the process of working with stakeholders to facilitate timely and high-quality statutory land use planning outcomes.
Contribute to communication and negotiation strategies in stakeholder engagement processes.
Assess,
evaluate, analyse and provide recommendations on land use planning and development assessment matters.
Assist in the preparation of advice with respect to the Economic Development Act **** and other relevant strategic land use planning related policy instruments.
Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and communities of practice.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will have strengths in:
Providing considered advice, guidance and direction on land use challenges and associated legislation and policy
Applied research skills and ability to prepare reports and briefing notes
A collaborative, customer centric and outcome focused work ethic
Developed interpersonal and communication skills
Tertiary qualifications in land use planning or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
