CBC Staff Selection is seeking expressions of interest from experienced community services professionals for two rewarding opportunities within the women's health and sexual assault support sector.
These roles will suit applicants who are passionate about trauma-informed practice, advocacy, community education, service delivery and supporting meaningful outcomes for women and those impacted by sexual violence.
Currently, we are looking for: Team Leader – Women's Health and Sexual Assault Support Service Community Educator – Women's Health and Sexual Assault These opportunities are suited to professionals with the required tertiary qualifications, current registrations and proven experience in women's health, sexual assault support, counselling, community education, social work, health promotion, public health or related fields.
Both positions are offered as fixed-term contracts through until June ****, with the possibility of extension subject to organisational requirements and funding arrangements.
The Team Leader role requires a minimum of three years' experience in the sexual assault support field, counselling or related areas, while the Community Educator role requires two or more years' experience in women's health and/or sexual assault, counselling or related areas.

You will also demonstrate sound communication skills,

Depending on the role, you may have experience in: Providing leadership, supervision, coaching and mentoring to staff within a community service, counselling or sexual assault support environment.
Coordinating, developing and facilitating community education, training, advocacy and awareness activities.
Working with women affected by sexual violence, complex matters or social and emotional health concerns.
Building effective stakeholder relationships across government, community, health, education and support services.
Contributing to policy, reporting, practice guides, service planning, quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Applying feminist, trauma-informed and social justice frameworks in your professional practice.
Supporting referral pathways, advocacy and access to services for women and victim/survivors.
Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, networks and community partnerships.
Your Skills Experience: To be successful, applicants must hold the required qualifications and be able to demonstrate proven experience relevant to the role they are applying for.
You will require: Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling, Psychology, Health Promotion, Public Health, Allied Health or a related discipline.
Current Working with Children Blue Card.
Current valid Queensland Open C Class Driver Licence.
Current right to work in Australia.
Demonstrated experience in women's health, sexual assault support, counselling, social work, health promotion, community education or related areas.
Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
A commitment to confidential, ethical, trauma-informed and culturally respectful practice.
The Team Leader role also requires strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise, coach and mentor staff, manage complex matters and contribute to high-quality service delivery.
The Community Educator role also requires the ability to develop, facilitate and activate community education and training, engage with stakeholders,



lead projects and contribute to awareness-raising initiatives across women's health and sexual assault issues.
