What this opportunity involves:
As a Assistant Transaction Manager at JLL, you'll play a vital role in delivering operational excellence across our client's retail property portfolio. This position sits at the intersection of strategic property management and hands-on transactional execution, where you'll support the delivery of leasing and transaction management activities that directly impact our client's success. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams to manage the full lifecycle of retail lease transactions—from market rent reviews and lease renewals to new site selections and divestments.

An overview of the role:
Support the delivery of leasing and transaction management activities across a retail property portfolio,
ensuring all activities align with client objectives and operational standards
Assist in preparing Options Papers, Site Searches, and Market Sweeps that provide clients with data-driven insights to support strategic property decisions
Prepare Lease Approval Forms upon transaction completion, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and submitted within required timeframes
Manage market rent reviews with external landlords or their representatives, negotiating terms that deliver value and align with lease agreements
Coordinate the exercise of lease options, renewals, and renegotiations to secure optimal tenure and commercial terms for clients
Support new site selection and due diligence activities, working alongside internal teams to evaluate opportunities and provide market-specific intelligence
Manage divestment activities for leased sites, including coordination of landlord notices, lease terminations, and make-valuable negotiations
Oversee critical lease dates and key events, maintaining a forward-looking calendar to proactively manage obligations and mitigate risk
Serve as a Transaction Technology Champion, driving the adoption of digital tools, developing business processes and playbooks, and supporting training initiatives to enhance team capabilities
Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:
Minimum 2 years of experience in transactions, leasing, or associated property services with a demonstrated track record of successful delivery
Tertiary qualification in Property, Real Estate, or equivalent discipline
Current Real Estate Licence or Certificate of Registration
Ability to manage multiple complex issues concurrently while meeting tight operational deadlines
Goal-oriented mindset with a strong focus on meeting and exceeding performance targets
Excellent client service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to collective success
Experience working within retail property portfolios or managing retail lease transactions (preferred)
Demonstrated capability in using transaction management technology platforms and digital workflow tools (preferred)
